Day 1: Welcome to Cagliari
Lunch and guided tour
After lunch in a traditional restaurant, you will discover the Old City of Cagliari. Its origins date back to the Phoenician Karalis, developed on a settlement traced back to the third millennium BCE.
Walk through the narrow streets of the old district of Castello to discover the beauties of the city; Medieval Towers, Bastions, the Royal Palace, and the Cathedral with an amazing fortress facing the sea. The panoramic points of the Castello will offer unforgettable views of the city and of the sea, of the Molentargius’ Park, and the Devil’s Saddle in all their beauty.

Day 2: Day trip to The National Archaelogical Museum
Guided archeological tour
Your guide will take you to the ancient Castello district within the Citadel of Museums and talk you through an archaeological collection of over 4,000 artifacts that tell a long history of almost 7,000 years, from prehistoric times to the early Middle Ages, from Neolithic mother goddesses to Nuragic bronzes, from Phoenician and Punic jewels to Byzantine cult objects.
End the tour with some local street food in the old town.

Day 3: Excursion to Nora Ruins
Discover Nora Ruins
Founded in the VIII century B. C, Nora was an important town under Roman rule. The city was abandoned in the 6th century, and little by little was buried under the sand till 1952.
You will see the amazing mosaics, the massive thermal pools and the theatre. Private Guide included.
Our driver will take you to Chia Beaches for a swim and for lunch in a fantastic agriturismo before escorting you back to Cagliari.

Day 4: San Benedetto Market tour
Peruse an authentic food market
The market of San Benedetto di Cagliari is Italy’s first indoor market.
It comprises bakeries, fruit and vegetable stalls, the meat of all kinds, traditional sweets and organic products’ stalls.
Fisherman arrive at dawn at the market with the catch of the day and plenty of good banter and cooking tips for their customers.

Day 5: Guided Tour of Su Nuraxi
Guided Tour of Su Nuraxi
Located in the town of Barumini, Su Nuraxi complex is the only designated UNESCO World Heritage Site on the island. What we see today is the result of 2000 years of stratifcations, from 1500 BC to roughly the 7th century AC. Through research, archaeologists have established that it was built across various stages.
After this fascinating tour your driver will take you to Bosa.

Day 6: Tharros and the Sinis peninsula Tour
The Giants of Monte Prama
Visit the ancient archaeological site of Tharros, among the most important of Sardinia, a precious evidence of long-lasting human settlements that provide a lecture of subsequent events of the entire Mediterranean: tokens of Neolithic culture of Bonuighinu in IV millennium, the Nuragic culture, Punic and Roman age and the Byzantine period.
Stop for swimming at Is Arutas Beach followed by a seafood lunch.

Day 7: Welcome to Alghero
Head to Alghero
After lunch our driver will take you further north to Alghero at your own pace. Arriving in the evening, you will check in to your boutique hotel and no doubt head out to the piazza for an aperitivo before dinner.

Day 8: Cheese-making farm tour
Discover age old cheese traditions
Depart from Alghero by jeep to a local farm where you will follow a very interesting guided tour to discover the Sardinian shepherd and agricultural world.
You will be able to see the animals in the farm, learn about the milking process and how traditional cheese is made. You will discover the history, the stages of production and pair cheeses with delicious local wines.

Feel right at home and indulge in the flavors of Sardinia with this cooking lesson and dinner in the countryside near Alghero. Help prepare a traditional meal under the guidance of a local chef, who welcomes you into his farmhouse to share the secrets of Sardinian home cooking. Day 11: Castelsardo and Palau
Museum of weaving
Visit to The Museum of Mediterranean Weaving, MIM, located inside the the Doria fortress, the ideal place to preserve the ancient tradition of weaving.
The art of weaving of the town of Castelsardo is an unwritten ancient knowledge, but still, today documented and handed down from the inhabitants of the medieval village to the new generations. In the streets of the city you can meet the “cestinaie” (craftswomen), historical and modern figures, which outside the door of their houses weave baskets with the dwarf palm, the sea hay and the raffia.

Day 12: La Maddalena and Caprera
Full day in these coastal beauties

Day 13: Ferry to Corsica
From Italy to France

Day 14: From Bonifacio to Ajaccio

Head to Ajaccio stopping in Filitosa and Pointe dale Parata on the way. Known as the site of menhirs and dolmens in Corsica, Filitosa has a magnificent array of prehistoric menhirs, and statues with the hard granite carved into human representations said to be around 3000 years old.
You will then visit Pointe d’Aleccia, also known as Pointe de la Parata. This stunning headland offers panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea and the Sanguinaires Islands. Your knowledgeable guide will share the history and legends of the area as you explore the ancient 16th century Genoese tower, surrounded by unspoiled nature.
Continue on to Ajaccio to settle in for the night.

After this guided hike and lunch you will be ready to make your way to Corte for the night.
